Due to scheduling changes, there were no awards given during 2006. The next awards will be given in the summer of 2007. The Child Welfare Fund established an endowment in 1998 to provide scholarships to all students who complete the Welfare Rights Initiative leadership/training course that teaches Hunter College students to be leaders and social activists. All students must complete a spring 2006 100-hour internship at WRI to receive the scholarship award.
