ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Child Welfare Fund is increasing its focus in preventing foster care placement and assisting children and families when a child returns home from foster care or lives independently after foster care. Projects in these areas might include:
Prevention of foster care: school-based preventative services, entitlements to families, evaluating the performance of preventive service programs, or evidence-based interventions.
Aftercare services: expanding funding, and providing services for families when children are reunited after foster care; employment programs and metnal health services for young people in foster care; and assisting high risk groups in and after foster care.

The Child Welfare Fund is interested in supporting projects to implement
the recommendations in the Child Welfare Watch. For application

PARTICIPATION / TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE GRANTS
The Child Welfare Fund encourages current and former CWF grantees
to apply for our Participation/Technical Assistance grants. Small
grants of up to $7,500 are available to current and former grantees
to increase the influence of consumers in the social service systems
in which they are involved. Funds are available for payment to parent
leaders, personal supports to increase activism, information and
