PARTICIPATION GRANTS
Two goals of the Child Welfare Fund are to increase the influence of clients in social service systems and to strengthen the administrative infrastructure of organizations. The Child Welfare Fund has a small grants pool available to current and former grantees to promote these goals. Grants for a maximum of $7,500 will be made for the following:
- Payment for parent or youth leaders, including stipends and part-time positions.
- Personal supports to increase activism, such as childcare or transportation to attend meetings.
- Information and education, including training of individuals.
- Organizational infrastructure, including fund raising, board development, data management, and bookkeeping.
Participation Grants are not intended to provide ongoing funding. If the grant is to be used for activities that will continue beyond the grant period, the proposal needs to identify plans to secure ongoing funding.
Application Procedure
Submit a short written proposal including a work plan and budget. Proposals can be submitted anytime during the year. A written report describing the activities carried out, impact of the work, a fiscal accounting of the funds will be due upon completion of the work. Grants will be reviewed and a decision made within two months od submission. Please submit the proposal to Anita Gundanna, Program Officer of the Child Welfare Fund
