Mission and Philosophy

The Child Welfare Fund (CWF) funds New York City organizations working to ensure that disadvantaged children and families have a chance to move toward greater success and independence. Many of these children and families have already been involved with the child welfare system.

The Fund believes that its grantees should understand, work directly with, and even be prepared to challenge the social service and other systems with which their constituents interact.
