FOR YOUTH IN FOSTER CARE
The Child Welfare Fund established the Awards for Youth
in Foster Care in 1999 to celebrate young people who have overcome
great difficulties and helped others do the same. The awards

FAMILY UNITY AWARDS
The Child Welfare Fund established the Family Unity Awards
in 2001 to recognize the parents, relatives and other guardians
who have overcome great difficulties to be reunited with their children,
and who have helped others do the same. Due to scheduling changes,
there were no awards given during 2006. The next awards will be
given in the summer of 2007. The awards are administered by:People

HUNTER COLLEGE SCHOOL OF SOCIAL WORK
The Child Welfare Fund established an endowment at the
Hunter College School of Social Work in 1997 to provide scholarships
for students who seek to improve the welfare of children.

WELFARE RIGHTS INITIATIVE LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIPS
The Child Welfare Fund established an endowment in 1998 to provide
scholarships to all students who complete the Welfare Rights Initiative
leadership/training course that teaches Hunter College students
to be leaders and social activists. All students must complete a
spring 2006 100-hour internship at WRI to receive the scholarship
award. The scholarship program is administered by: Welfare
